mandy + terrent {sitting in a tree}I honestly don't even know where to begin with this blog post. Meet Mandy + Terrent, my husband and I's best friends. I went to college with Mandy and we were in Delta Zeta Sorority at Nicholls together. It was not best friends at first sight by any means...we were friends and hung out at meetings and social events but that was about it. The beauty of being a part of a sorority is not just the positive cloud that surrounds you during college, it is the networking. You never know when you will meet up with another women later in life and be able to share that secret handshake with someone you thought you had nothing in common with but you have one of the best things in the world in common with! Well, fast forward about five years later and I find myself in Lafayette where I know about 3 people, and they are all family members haha. This cool little website called facebook led Mandy and I back to each other as we lived in the same city again. From that "first date" (as we call it) at bonefish in July 2010 it was all over. I had a real life grown up friendship of my very own. We have both been super happy together, cried on each other many times and just relished in life together. It is truely amazing and I have never experienced a friendship like this with the exception of my husband (my other best friend). We always use to talk about her "future husband" on her balcony at her apartment and I told her as soon as she stopped looking...it would happen. I mean, that is how it always does! I remember the day she met Terrent like it was yesterday...Mardi Gras in Lafayette and I was not downtown partaking the festivities because we were in New Orleans. However, I remember the text very clearly "OMG I met a guy tonight, his name is Terrent and we are going on a date!" It was so exciting for her! They went to Sakura, which is some of the best sushi you will ever eat and I could tell she was smitten. In a nutshell, over the course of their friendship we all knew Terrent was COMPLETELY and UTTERLY perfect for her. They have the kind of relationship that my husband and I have and it makes me so happy to see her on this journey to her wedding day. Love like this can't be written, only felt. I can't wait to see the look on Terrent's face when he gets a view of that beautiful blonde bombshell in that white dress. The tears are already flowing and we are not even there yet. Whew! Ok, enough of that, let's get to their amazing pictures that we took in Toledo Bend already! We spent the weekend there and it was SO much fun! I think we were all in need of a getaway. I hope you all enjoy my favorites from their session! xo-theresa
