i first met tricia at her twin sister lacey's bridal session. i shot her sisters wedding last august and i was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with this amazing family again. tricia + paul are so sweet to each other. he is so concerned for her at all times and she just looks up at him with the giddiest love smile i have ever seen! every step of this journey has been remarkable for me.

the wedding took place at the majestic rip van winkle gardens in new iberia, la. it is SO magical! the moss was swaying to the violins, the peacocks were expressing their excitement (they could have picked better times than during the vows...but at least they were happy for the couple ha!), the decor had a backyard five star hotel feel to it, and love was simply just everywhere!

my favorite things about this wedding were the first look and the ceremony. the first look wow'd me in more ways than one. when paul turned around and saw his forever he was floored! that smile of his lasted the whole night through after that one moment in time. i sometimes overhear a few words exchanged during the first look and it always puts a smile in my heart. love is such a beautifully hard thing to find and when you finally find it...it just takes you over. you live, breathe and anticipate the feeling everyday.

the ceremony was so intimate and personal. paul's sister spoke a few words about their late mother; who sounds like an amazingly beautiful person. although she was not seated in one of those white chairs..her presence was known and felt by everyone there. the other amazing personal touch to the ceremony was tricia's dad being the officiant! how amazing is it that he got to not only give his daughter away to the love of her life; he also got to marry the two of them?! it was such a short yet special ceremony that had me tearing up behind my camera.

the reception was nothing short of spectacular! all of the components of the reception were perfectly in unison. the music was loud and the guests were dancing. the champs were flowing and the food was delicious! this family partied hard together and i totally fit in ... doing a little jig and shake here and there. ;)

i definitely had a blast with this dreamy couple and i wish them years of happiness together. cheers to tricia + paul!
