here is the sweet and beautiful amanda. she is so soft-spoken and such a joy to be around. i've gotten to know her throughout her wedding journey and she is an extremely cheerful and go with the flow kind of girl. sometimes my brides give me these weird stares when i am trying to direct them on posing. odds are the more awkward it feels...the better it portrays their luscious gown and their bridal beauty. she just went for it all and did not second guess me once...it was a nice change of pace. we shot her bridal session at avery island's jungle gardens in new iberia, louisiana. it seems to be a premier spot for photo shoots and i really have no argument for it's delicious natural backdrop. it is a dream to shoot here! the live oaks and their moss provide an amazing contrast against my bride's gowns and the wow factor every bride wants. glowing sun and the sound of the trees swaying always inspire me to produce some pretty amazing shots.

while we fought off the mosquitos and many other of their crawling friends we laughed a lot and discussed the wedding day. her sister and one of her bridesmaid's joined us for the session and they were extremely helpful. my favorite moments were when we got her posed under the span of oaks and all just took a moment to let amanda's flawless look sink in. we were all left in awe and just let out the most perfect "ohhhh" you have ever heard. it was a magical moment for sure.

bridals always bring out confidence in the bride-to-be. it is pretty much a trial run of how she will look on her wedding day and it really starts to become real for them. all of the hard work, contracts, and dreaming is reality and their big day is close to arrival.
