the loftin's are certainly a naturally new orleans family for sure. when ali called me and discussed her vision for the shoot i was all in. the was my first session riding the streetcar with my clients and we were in for one heck of a ride. we rode for a few blocks and got off thinking we could catch the next one coming in the opposite direction, we were wrong. ha! the streetcar line had a small hiccup and we walked blocks before the next one came to pick us up. during that walk we got to know each other and even found this amazing house with some mardi gras flair so we decided to have fun with it. who doesn't love pretending like you are trying to catch some mardi gras loot?

it is also no surprise that this family wanted to document the mardi gras spirit as a new family of three so we also had some fun with a mardi gras themed king cake picnic. 

it was pretty much one of the best days and i really enjoyed my time with them. eat your hearts out people, this family is beautiful!
